Privacy policy

Roè is an experimental service operated by an individual in Greece. This policy explains what information Roè collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you. We aim to collect only what Roè needs to work.

01

What we collect

When you use Roè, we may collect your email address; account and authentication records; entries you choose to keep; and basic security and operational logs generated while providing the service. Authentication credentials are handled by our managed authentication provider using secure one-way hashing. Roè does not store plaintext passwords. If paid features become available, payment and subscription records may also be collected, while card details will be handled by the payment provider. We do not sell your personal information.

02

What we do not collect

Roè does not need access to your contacts, precise location, movements around the web, or the contents of your device outside the service. We do not use your entries for advertising. We do not send the text of your entries to external AI or large language model providers.

03

Your entries

Roè uses TLS to protect entries in transit and managed database storage encryption to protect them at rest. Entries are intended to remain private to you, and Roè has no user-facing feature that lets another person browse them. Privileged access to the underlying infrastructure exists for the operator and service providers, and is restricted to what is necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, comply with legal duties, or administer the service. Entries are not used for marketing, advertising, or training external AI systems.

04

How threads work

Roè does not analyse the text of your entries to create threads. Threads use the fixed theme associated with each question. Your entry text is not processed by a separate program to identify words, meanings, or connections. The connections you make between entries remain yours to interpret.

05

When you let an answer go

Choosing Let it go sends no response text to the database. Roè keeps the question, date, and release status so the daily practice can function, but not the words you typed.

06

How long we keep information

We keep account information and entries you choose to keep while your account remains active, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. Deleting your account removes the live account, settings, and archive data. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups expire under the infrastructure provider's normal retention cycle. Some information may be retained where lawfully required to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the service.

07

Who helps us run Roè

Roè uses Lovable Cloud for managed hosting, database, and authentication infrastructure. These providers process information on our behalf to operate and secure the service. Account-email and payment providers may be added if those features launch; this policy will identify material changes before they apply. We do not permit service providers to use entries for their own advertising or AI training.

08

Where information is stored

Roè is operated from Greece. Information may be processed or stored in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other countries where service providers operate, depending on the infrastructure used. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use the safeguards required by that law.

09

Your rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; receive information you provided; and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You can export retained Roè archive entries as plain text and delete your account in Settings. You may also contact us. We respond within the period required by applicable law. You may have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10

Cookies

Roè uses cookies and similar technologies where necessary to operate the service, including sign-in and session security. We do not use advertising cookies to follow you around the web. If optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies are introduced, we will provide the notice and choices required by applicable law.

11

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information held by Roè, including protection in transit and at rest. No online service can guarantee complete security.

12

Changes to this policy

Roè may update this policy as the service develops or legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide any notice required by applicable law.
